Greetings neighbors,

We hope this message finds you safe and well. Below are the latest updates on our progress at "The Emery".

Offsite Work:

Power Connection Work - RESCHEDULED

The date for "energizing" the temp power lines for our site, which will cause a power interruption for the neighborhood, has been postponed due to PG&E scheduling/permit issues. We are still waiting for confirmation of all the details for this work from PG&E , but here is what we know so far:

  • Date: unconfirmed
  • Duration: 8 hours or less
  • Time of day: unconfirmed
  • Affected neighbors: Residences/businesses on the 1500 block of Park Ave and Halleck Streets.
  • Notice: Residences/businesses will received a mailed notice or door hanger with details of the power interruption roughly 14 days before the work starts.

Storm Drain Installation on Horton Street

The Horton Street storm drain work has hit a couple of snags and will be continuing through 2/19/21. There are lane closures involved with this work so please avoid this area if at all possible during working hours. If you need to pass through this area please pay close attention to signs and persons providing traffic control.

Reclaimed Water Line Install - Sherwin Ave.

Once the storm sewer on Horton Street has been completed the crew will transition back to Sherwin Avenue for the installation of an EBMUD reclaimed water line. There will be significant traffic controls in effect for this work which should last about a week. We anticipate this work starting the week of 2/22/2021.

On Site Work:

Building B1 roof completion, window installation, and continued work on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, etc. rough installations.

Building B2 garage rooftop amenity steel framing complete. Second level of wood framed apartment homes continues.

Building D concrete slab has been placed and now the podium forms are being prepared.

Excavation for Building C footing excavation begins this week.

Please keep in mind that with the rainy season upon us there will be a greater need for street sweeping so we are compliant with local and state stormwater management ordinances.

Have a safe week and we will be in touch with additional updates as the work progresses.
